A membership for mixed media and collage artists.
Do you feel stuck or uncertain about how to make your artwork have more depth, cohesiveness, and meaning?
Do you collect beautiful papers but not know how to use them with confidence.
Do you try techniques but feel they lack depth or personal connection?
Do you crave structure and consistency, but also freedom to explore?
Do you feel isolated, with no one to share your experiments, ask questions, or celebrate wins? or, do you struggle with self-doubt, perfectionism, or fear of making "bad art"
Welcome to The Paste and Paper Playground—a creative membership that gives you the tools, support, and space to find your own way.
Here, you’ll learn layered collage techniques that build skill and spark new ideas. You will create your own collage papers using mixed media techniques. Together we will explore prompts that help you dig deeper into your artistic voice. I will be there to nurture consistency in your practice—without losing freedom and provide connection with other artists who value process over perfection
This is more than a membership—it’s a playground for your curiosity, your creativity, and your growth.
As a member, each month you’ll get new lessons, collage paper techniques, and a prompt-based challenge. It’s designed to help you explore new ideas while building your own visual language—layer by layer. We’ll also have studio shares and a chance to ask questions or get feedback. And don’t worry if you fall behind—there’s no rush and no pressure
Let’s rip, layer, and grow—together.
Focused Lessons to Build Ideas
Each month centers around a thematic concept—like fragments, growth, contrast, or memory—that gives artists both a creative anchor and room to interpret in their own way.
A core theme video (10–15 min) introducing the concept and showing how to approach it with mixed media collage
Lessons designed for flexibility—members can apply techniques to any subject matter or personal style
Visual examples from your own work and past projects to inspire and instruct
Example Monthly Theme: “Layers of Light” – explore transparency, opacity, and how to use collage to evoke mood and luminosity.
Collage Paper Demos
Instead of relying on store-bought materials, members will be empowered to create custom collage papers that reflect their aesthetic and deepen personal meaning.
Step-by-step video demos on collage paper techniques like:
Frottage (rubbings)
Resist (oil pastel + wash)
Staining and glazing
Monoprints with Gelli plates or found textures
with suggestions to push further
This section is about process over perfection—experimentation is the goal.
Downloadable PDF’s and Guides

Choose Your Own Path
Because art isn’t about following someone else’s blueprint—it’s about learning to trust your own.
In a world full of tutorials, trends, and templates, it’s easy to get lost in comparison. But your path as an artist is not a straight line—it’s a collage. A layered, imperfect, beautiful mix of experiences, experiments, materials, and meaning.
When you choose your own path, you create work that feels authentic instead of imitative. You make decisions based on intuition and curiosity—not just rules. You build a practice that supports your energy, your values, and your creative rhythm You grow your confidence, because you’re not measuring your progress against anyone else. You discover meaning in your materials, your mistakes, and your story And that’s what The Paste and Paper Playground is really about: helping you explore freely, learn deeply, and create art that reflects who you are—not who you think you’re supposed to be. Because the most powerful work you’ll ever make will come from the place where your voice, your vision, and your courage meet.
Braving the Blank Page
Get started without fear
Choose your collage surface. Gather a basic collage kit (paper, glue, scissors, paints). Try one warm-up collage exercise (e.g., tear & reassemble). Share your first piece (even if it feels awkward!)
Playing with Paper
Create your own collection of collage materials
Make 5–7 unique collage papers using paint, texture, or printing. Try at least 3 new techniques (e.g., resist, frottage, layering ink). Limit your palette for one session to explore color harmony. Start a “paper stash” with labeled envelopes or folders
Building Layers
Build intentional, balanced, layered compositions
Try 3 basic composition styles (grid, arc, vertical stack). Learn to balance contrast, negative space, and focal points. Create 3 finished collages using your handmade papers. Reflect on what felt successful in each piece
Finding Your Voice
Begin a personal series of collage works
Choose a personal theme or curiosity to explore. Make a mini-series of 3–5 pieces around that idea. Identify 3 stylistic elements that feel “like you”. Use your journal to reflect on what you’re learning about yourself
The Confident Creator
Establish your creative rhythm and share your work
Set a weekly or monthly creative routine. Revisit older work and reflect on growth. Share your work with the group or publicly. Celebrate your process—not just the outcomes
The Storyteller
Collage becomes part of how you see, think, and share your creative voice with the world.
Move beyond confidence and into creative integration. At this stage, members use collage to express bigger ideas, develop projects, or mentor others. They sustain their practice not only with routine, but with intention and vision.
